In order for techers to check if they learned what was important an assessment can be given on those objectives to see if the students met them. Giving a variety of assessments throughout the activity helps to determine if the students are understanding the material. It is easier to give multiple choice questions that assess knowledge but they are not open ended. First identify the standards you want them to meet. Then find a way to connect it to their lives. Once you establish the connection, you will hook the students.
